Message "If you move the calipers outward, you've got to decrease the bore of the pistons."

Now why would anyone want to do that?? You want to increase the leverage and (at the very least) maintain equal clamping pressure.

"you start fucking around with the ABS computer's notions of how and when your car should stop."

The ABS computer doesn't control how or when the car stops, my foot does. All the ABS does is detect tire slip and counter it.

"Shorter stopping distances should not be your goal, repeatability should be."

A 350Z rotor upgrade using Z32 calipers addresses both those issues effectively, and noticeably.

Of course I agree that a good set of pads and tires are a prerequisite, but who wouldn't want more braking power for an equivalent pedal pressure, more fade resistance, while improving the look of stock rotors, for a relatively tiny amount of money?

Im n0t Sarcastic (Kenny): not to over do it, but you're certainly the source of high-class Z mods
ZEngineer24: what do you mean by that?
Im n0t Sarcastic: I just mean, your Z is one I really admire
